Isn't every sense, in a sense, a sight?
Take every thing fundamentally and you will find light.
Therefore, touching, smelling, tasting, hearing, feeling
Are but few of the numerous ways of seeing.

Dallin is human, once again.
I've come to an even deeper understanding of what it means to be human, though the words in my journals often seem repetitive.
Clarity comes to me through love and acceptance of my mortal condition, even though it is not what is true.
Being human is awesome, even though I have so many kinks to work out, shoulders that knot often, and a butt-ton (that is an actual measurement, people) of knowledge wanting me to know it.
Why is it awesome? Because I can work my kinks out. Because I can ask my family and friends to rub my shoulders. Because I have the time, the potential, and the capacity to know and learn all knowledge.
Those are only a few of the perks of being human.
You wanna know what is the best part, though?
The opportunity I have to be human with all of you party people.
This is Dallin from his new room on blogger and life, so stick around because it's gonna be a great one!

Can't find the time to do something important to you? Well, where'd you put it?
Scheduling is huge and every successful human being on this earths schedules their time. This doesn't necessarily mean that strict adherence is necessary, but a schedule puts your life, your time on this earth, in order. I've only begun to realize how much time I actually have on my hands, because it feels like a day lasts a lifetime.
When I first started (about a week and a half ago), it was like I had way too much time on my hands and after all the work was finished, I got bored again. I finished everything too fast! The weird thing was, as I was doing the work, everything was good. I felt great knowing I was accomplishing what I wanted to, but then came the gap of time after everything was finished. What to do? Well, I sat down and started writing exactly what I wanted to do with my time... And then finished that.
This is weird... I have time to work on my passions and do chores?
Haha. Try it, people. You won't be disappointed. ;)

Zzt zzt. (Sparky sparky boom)
This unique perspective I have on life is exactly that. I wonder, though, if what I see is exactly what is. Auras are so dang cool. Your thought patterns create specific vibrations through your body that cause a "light" of sorts that can't be seen by most of the human species. Here's why this is relevant. Everything you are seeing through your eyes is discolored or diluted or magnified in color by the color of the auras you emit. You literally see your life through your thoughts. Haha. Pretty cool, eh?
I've been doing a large amount of pondering on this and I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter if I see things correctly yet. I'm not in the business of perfection. I'm in the business of listening. Then, by George, I'll listen and go and do.
Enough of the static and sparkles and electricity going off in and around my head just to do that some more. Let's ground the current. That's how we feel fulfilled; By creating currents and communication and being grounded to let whatever current coming from heaven impact the earth.
Ciao. Imma sleep some.

Let us quietly kill silence.
Wow. I'm back! I've just gone through a conglomerate of experiences. Some were good, rich and full of inspiration. Some, terribly uncomfortable and lonely, but I lived through it, just like I will live through any experience. Here's the first tidbit of knowledge received and shared through my recent expedition:
1. Silence kills.
2. Quite is OK, and so is loud.
3. I get my silence from my mom.
I'd never thought of it before, but I had an experience that pushed me to ponder the "why" I do many things that I do. Looking back, every time my mother was upset or troubled or stressed, she clammed up like some kind of octopus was out to get her.
Silence feels dark and lonely and lifeless, but quiet is only softened noise. Loud is the abundance of noise.
Communication creates. Silence is deadly. So, if I ever come up to you and you tell me your day has been way too quiet... Well, we just might make a whole heck of a lot of noise. Haha.
There is no such thing as a being that exists solely by itself. Every creature needs communication in some form, whether it be touch, vision, hearing, smelling, etc. You couldn't find a creature that doesn't use "noise" or whatever you'd like to call the sensory ability it uses to stimulate itself.
Be at peas. x). Noise is coming your way.

Intentions
Wow. Intentions are so dang powerful! I want to let you know what some of mine are. May I? Wonderful!
Okay, from this point on, this blog is for the stories that take place in my life and for the things I learn and want to share. :)
The intention is to lighten your minds and help you expand your understanding of the world you live in and to help you see things from my perspective.
Another intention of mine is to help people who want to start doing incredible things start doing them.
One last little bit. Start making intentions in your life.
That's all I have time for now. I'll talk to you all later!

Whaaaaaale dee dop diddly doo.
Hi, ladies and gents!
Oh boy! YFF is THIS WEEK!
I have so much to say. Many people who are attractive are in my life. They are those who decide to be. Attraction isn't based on physical beauty for me. Not anymore, anyway. You see, people have this awesome ability to shine like stars. That is what is attractive to me (the shining part). So don't worry. Unfold your arms, uncross your ankles, put your hands at your side, look up, smile, cry a little, be grateful. That's how you start that shine. Oh, you look absolutely spectacular with that smile of yours. Those last four words are what are important.
I'm supper, you're super! People think in conversations and images. Music is a language. Spiritual abilities can't be appreciated without the use of physical abilities as well. The Atonement is active. Turtles named Hazel will run away and get you in trouble, causing the boys who assigned you to the turtle to draw on your face while you sleep. Your ancestors are real. People love you. We see who we are through the world around us. Subjective. Patterns. Principles. Natural laws. Vests are cool, along with my new black khaki pants. Yep.
Wow. People (that's you), find mentors. Find good ones. Be determined to learn, because sometimes it can be hard, but that's okay. You'll live. I promise.
This is your midnight mind munchy with Dallin Hughes.

Things People Around Me Don't Understand
1. The Law of Attraction
Thought>Emotion>Action>Result
See there? It really is that simple.
If you aren't having the results you want, it's time to trace the line back to the starting point and learn what went wrong.
Life really is mathmatical. Equations. It all makes sense. You can learn anything you want to learn.
It's time to stop saying "no" and start saying "yes and..."
Let's get creative, people! :D

The Mysterious Disappearing Things
There will come a day,
When your roots will reach The Rock.
You will find that sock.
Ahahahaha. I'm a hysterical genuis!
When your roots will reach The Rock.
You will find that sock.
Ahahahaha. I'm a hysterical genuis!
What Is The Cure?
All dis-ease's are obnoxious, right? Stress bothers us, imperfection bothers us, laziness bothers us, but what bothers us the most is disconnections in relationships, because that pretty much sums up every single "stress" we have in our lives, right? Like your relationship with the world, or with yourself, or with your Higher Power.
For example, the stress you may feel after procrastinating a homework assignment until it is due has to do with your relationship with you and your conversation (though you may not call it that) with yourself might go a little like this, "I should have done this earlier. Gosh dang it. I'm not going to get it done on time." Then you might start feeling guilty and not wanting to do it at all. Am I right?
Or, as another example, your relationship with yourself may not be that great, to the point that you only focus on taking care of others and never on taking care of yourself.
Ultimately, the relationship you have with the world reflects your relationship with you and your relationship with your Higher Power.
How could it reflect your relationship with your Higher Power? Well, I think he cares about you quite a bit and that He takes care of Himself so he can take care of His relationship with you, so if you aren't taking care of yourself, how are you showing your care for Him?
Get out a pen and paper. What are you afraid of? Why are you afraid of that? Look into past relationships you've had. Write your answers to those questions down. Don't be uncomfortable with the fact that you have a fear. You can know how uncomfortable you are by how much you guilt trip yourself about having that fear. Don't say things like, "I know, it's silly, right?" Just write about your fear. Express it completely in writing. IN DETAIL. No one has to see this but you. Your Heavenly Father sees your fears already and guess what! He still loves you. Don't beat yourself up about a fear. Don't move on through this post until you have written.
Now, what is the cure for that fear? Well, where does that fear stem from? Write about that. It'll help you find out.
Through my experience, there is no fear that does not stem from some mistake we are carrying with us.
So then, what is that cure? Let me tell you. It is forgiveness. Plain and simple.
Once you have finished writing, I want you to find a quiet and private spot and address your Higher Power and ask His forgiveness for you treating yourself this way. Why? Because He created you for great things. Don't worry about Him not forgiving you. If you intend to do better, He always will.
Next, I want you to thank Him that made it possible to repent and apologize to Him as well.
Now, you have the next person who makes it possible for you to forgive. Yourself. Find a mirror and let yourself know how you feel, then forgive yourself. You like you.
After you are done forgiving, it is time to finish the "Letting go" process. Don't do it again. However, if you do start feeling the fear again, read through this again and remember that Heavenly Father is infinitely merciful.
I love you. I hope you do to. Care about yourself enough to care for yourself.
Your friend,
Dallin Hughes

Becoming: Honor
Honor is something I could go on and on about.
There's the commandment "Honor thy father and thy mother"
Notice how it doesn't say "Be obedient to thy father and thy mother"
Nope. Not even. It says "Honor".
"Honor", in my book, is synonymous to "bless".
The definition of honor, as a noun, according to dictionary.com (only because that is the only one available to me currently), is integrity, honesty, or fairness in ones beliefs and actions.
That makes sense, right? Guess what! You can trust your intuition. Staying true to your intuition is integrity. However, sometimes we mess up and we don't do that. Well, that's ok. We weren't supposed to come to earth and be perfect. We were intended to come and strive for righteousness and we have someone who is willing to pay the price for your mistakes. He's great. That's an understatement. When you mess up, apologize, repent, forgive. Do whatever you feel scared to do, if it is along the lines of those words above. That's how you reconnect to your intuition. It feels soooooo good.
Anyway, back to honor. Honor is earned. Honor is a boy's way of becoming a man. Becoming requires action for men. If you see any boy not doing good things, you should encourage him. Doing good things is how boys become men.
Do, become, do, become.
This applies to any characteristic any young man can learn/become. Whether it be a sense of humor, taste in music, love, or even diligence.
Wanna complicate things? Becoming by doing also requires each individuals personal way of doing.
I wish I had more time to write. Alas, it cannot be.
Farewell until next time, which, judging by the time span between this and the last post, it may or may not be very long. xD
Nah, actually.
Goodnight, loves!

What a realization! Dallin Hughes is nowhere near perfect, guys. He can't even become perfect if he's partaking of perfectionism. I know this and I have known it for a long time, but I let myself be put up to other people's pedestalling and it became me. That was dumb. Haha. Thanks to Brittany for inspiring this. I thought about it a lot.
It's quite interesting to self observe. I have conversations with several influential people in my life a day. These discussions and self observations can sometimes be disheartening, considering I often see faults. Haha. What does that even mean? I see faults in other people, but I love them regardless. How then can I see myself and not love myself? It seems I run in circles when it comes to this. I even know why. Haha. This time, I know what needs to be done. I know how to manage, thanks to my angelic friends. They really are.
I don't mind having a less than stellar day. I mind affecting other intuitives by having a less than stellar day. Haha! Another insight! xD. How you treat someone is how you treat everyone is how you treat yourself. Responsible self management.
I love you guys. Take care!
Until next time!

What could I possibly be thinking? Haha.
Everyone has weaknesses. I have quite a few. They aren't things to be ashamed of.
Everyone needs a manager to teach them how to govern themselves, everyone needs an artist to teach them beauty and how to enjoy life at its fullest, everyone needs a healer to teach them love and concern, kindness and gentleness and everyone needs a warrior to challenge them and inspire them towards greatness. The key is finding the balance.
I'm very much a warrior and artist. I dare you to live life at its fulllest and find joy in every moment.
Wanna hear a joke?
How do you make the little things in life count?
You teach kindergarten math! ;)
Have a wonderful week everyone!

In The End. What End?
"Time is fickle." Said the man. With sacrosanct eyes and wise words, he continued, "New York fears what she doesn't understand and those who befriend Sanctification become the peculiars among her people. They become the timeless, the eternal, the boundless passion. These are they."
Time is fickle
How do you feel when people travel through time and come back to tell you about it?

Dreams, Lakes and Very Good Dates
I started this thing called the Am-Pm schedule a few nights ago...again. This time I'm implementing every thing I've learned about it. I've set small goals with huge outcomes and they have been wonderful so far. I'll share one thing from the Am and the Pm.
Waking up is fun to do. I set a goal to wake up right when I want to every morning and it is working wonderfully. I set one alarm and I've disabled snooze, so my brain knows I have to get up to it. Running, then dancing in the soccer field near the house is one thing on my list of Am things and it has worked wonders! Fun is life.
Before I go to bed, I have decided I will listen to motivational content. The funny thing is, the only motivational content I have on my iPod happens to be several audio lectures on romantic relationships and dating, given by none other than my good man, John Bytheway. Wonderful lectures, by the way. Hehe. I'm sure he's NEVER heard that one. Well, that isn't the point. The point is, what you do in the morning and at night, before you go to bed, literally shape how your brain is going to function the next day. This is because your brain compiles what you did, felt, heard, saw, tasted, smelled and learned about during your sleep. Also, note the fact that what you do RIGHT BEFORE you fall asleep is put on repeat WHILE you sleep. This makes your routines incredibly important and it makes choosing the right routines just as important.
Has anyone guessed why I'm saying this?
If you guessed, "Because you had the most crazy awesome and mind-blowing dream," then you are right. That's right, everyone!
This is an interactive blog update! :D Smiles for the camera everyone!
What do you think has been on my mind during my sleep?
*Awkward Dora's question silence*
That's right! I've been dreaming about dating! Hahahahahahaha.
I went on three dates in one night and kissed two girls. xD I had a pretty incredible night last night. Hahaha. The first date, I was sitting in a tree with a young lady I met a little over a year ago, but I had seen her three or four times at church dances before I actually went up and talked to her. I actually went out on a date with her last year as well. Anyway, my imagination was just beginning to take flight. We sat there for what I knew in my dream had been hours discussing political affairs, government affairs and dental hygiene. Haha. She wants to be a dental hygienist when she grows up, which I think would be an incredibly beneficial thing for society, because of my knowledge about what is possible with the body and her study of what people in the health field deem reasonable. Haha.
Well, then my dream took a twist and I fell backwards out of the tree. Suddenly, I was at lake Taneycomo, with my little friend from dance class so long ago. What an amazing and compassionate young lady. Her smile and overall aura was so welcoming and loving, and her voice spoke volumes about her gentle strength. She had beautiful eyes and she was the perfect height, not to mention her outstanding talent as a dancer. She won the championship at every competition she went to. It's no wonder I had that super-dee-duper crush on her all those years ago. I stood there on the beach with her, looking into her eyes and then held her there for what seemed like forever. She was literally the girl of my dreams for the entire half-year I spent at the dance studio. I lost sleep over that girl. Thinking about her seemed better than sleeping and when I finally did sleep, I often dreamed of her too. Talk about obsession. So we stood there, and I pulled her away from me so I could look into her eyes again, then closed them and lifted her face toward mine until our lips met. I melted, man. I melted. Haha. She's got so much hip hop. I also couldn't help but smile before we brought that moment of honesty to an end. It was the moment I had wanted the whole time I was taking dance with her. To be honest, I'm much happier that it happened in my dreams. I learned so much from that non-relationship. Haha. That scene ended and we decided to go swimming.
We entered the water with a splash war and then she tackled me. While I was under the water, the dream shifted again. My head broke the surface and I found myself staring at a wide, bowl shaped raft/boat/platter made of an odd type of heavy, solid metal that somehow was still floating. On the platter, was my cousin Aaron, laying on the opposite side. I pulled myself aboard, dripping wet and heavy from my water-logged clothes, and decided to lie down too. Aaron and I struck up a conversation and I learned that I was at a scout camp. I'll be honest, I was pretty disappointed when I saw my lady friend was no longer there, but I soon found that it didn't matter. I was on duty to teach and raise those young men after me and learn from them as well. I was on a mission.
Aaron and I were talking about the young men and how we could best influence them and learn from their example when we felt a sudden bump on the underbody of the platter. Then we saw many heads of young boys who had snuck up on us from scuba diving. They had decided they were going to involve us in the fun. What does that mean? It means they were tipping the metal plate over towards Aaron's side and I was going to plunge into the water from about thirty feet, due to the length of the floating metal plate. I tried to get up and run toward the other end, but it happened too fast. I fell and decided if I was going to fall into water, I was going to enjoy it and I turned it into a dive.
My hands hit first, then my head and the rest of my body followed suit until my feet hit. While submerged, all the water around me suddenly disappeared, except for the watter inside my clothes, only my outfit was now a very nice casual/suave pair of fitted grey jeans with a dark button down shirt, a grey patterned and designed vest with a light colored tie and black leather shoes. Man. It was all soaking wet. The world flipped upside down so I was upside right and I fell the shortest distance possible to fall with a jolt, but when I looked around, everything was different. I was in a chair, at a restuarant, with the most beautiful young lady and we were waiting for our meals to be served. It didn't occur to me at that moment that I had made specific plans for the rest of the evening, but I had.
I was still soaking wet, but it didn't seem to matter to her. I prayed at that moment and thanked Heavenly Father for the person that she was. I was also stunned to find a ring in the jacket hanging on my chair. Then, I realized I had made plans with her before about this very thing. I also realized that the plans we had made were very simple and that the plans I had made by my self, for that night, included those we had discussed and elaborated on them for the element of Soup prize. She was pretty confused to see so many "Aha!" moments on my face. Oh, it must have been hysterical! As the night progressed, most everything went as planned. There were a few minor details that hadn't worked out, but it had made certain parts of that date much more fun and exciting for both of us.
Details will be spared, for the sake of the wonder of my future engagement plans. However, in the end, she said "Yes" and there was nothing in the world that could ruin that moment, nor would I let anything do so.
"I love you."

Because The Truth Is...
Everybody tells themselves stories. Anyone who isn't perfect is telling themselves imperfect stories.
We all need someone who will listen to the messages coming from Heaven and observe and help us get rid of those incorrect stories.
The most important relationship to me is with my God. Next is my future wife and I hope she is not letting the stories she tells herself become her reality.
Do, become, do, become, do, become.
I'm breaking barriers, my friends.

The Valuable Thing In Life: You!
Hey peeps! This is the first of a string of posts on the things I've been thinking/learning about.
Money is wonderful. It is a representation of value. How much you are creating is a representation of how much you value yourself. Money abides by laws and when you do, it follows your command. Just like everything else in the world, when you learn and apply the principles of self government, it does everything you ask it to do.
Money = Value
View of self (value of self) = How much money you make.
If you value yourself high, you will find a way to make that amount of money. If you continue to value yourself at higher and higher levels, you will work to make the equivalent in money.
And vice versa.
And who determines how you think of yourself? The answer is quite simple.
You.
Your value is only dependent on what or how others think of you if you let it be. Don't let it be. It should be dependent on how you think of yourself. If you don't think highly of yourself...
Hi! My name is Dallin Hughes. I'm a life mentor. Let's sit down and talk over a nice cup of steamed caramel apple juice. I'll help you out!

My Special Spot
As I sit here in my special spot, my mind is filled with precious thought.
The enlightening elixir poured down from Heaven and into my chalice made from the purest materials, is encouraging me to drink. After all, why pour drink into a glass without the intent of letting it become you?
I encourage you to fill your cup with what makes you come alive. Drink from it.
I cannot keep up with my thoughts when writing and I am forced to slow, but what I am reminded of right now is that what you write is not always only for your intended audience.
I often look back on past blog posts and am knocked on the head for rememberance.
I also marvel at the imperfection in each post, but I don't change them and some people may wonder why.
I envision this blog as a training ground for things to come.
On a training ground, you may make a mistake, but no matter how hard you may try to perfect that skill mistakes will still be made and you cannot erase them. I don't try to. Instead, I look at my current work and look at my past work and compare. I see improvement and I am even more excited to move on.
When the day comes, I will walk back on the trail and pick up each marker and be satisfied that I left it there to move onto higher plains.
If I hated or even just disliked my imperfections, would I ever give them the nourishment they need to blossom into perfections?
Hate, dislike and discouragement are not synonyms to love, care and nourishment.
Love yourself and others as Christ would love you and others. He was the Ultimate example for how we should treat everyone, yourself included.
Then and only then, will you be able to create the best.
Come alive, my friends.

Agency. What a wonderful thing.
I think many of us forget what agency really means. Agency implies we have the ability to choose who's agent we are. It's important to remember that every act is an act as someone's agent.
I once had a discussion with a member of another religion on this topic. I remember they were very adamant about being independent of any Higher being, that he didn't need someone to tell him how to be.
Well, my thoughts on that are...
Why wouldn't we want to be an agent of an all-knowing, all powerful being who loves us and wants what is best for us? He didn't because he did not understand who it was he was serving.
It is so very important that this work be pushed forward, that Heaven and Earth may rejoice again with each other, that those people who would rather not listen to anyone may come to the knowledge of the love our Heavenly Father has for them and that man may be perfected once again.
You are always someone's agent, my friends. Think about who's agent you are and if you don't feel like you're on the right path, there's still the decision to turn around. Don't walk so far as to fall into the pit at the dead end of the wrong path. Let's be friends, yeh? Yeh.
I love you all,

Bear With Me
I really want to post a lot about what I've been learning and studying, but that in and of itself is a huge task.
I will do my best to simplify what I learn and share it with you.
I also want you to know you are loved and that love comes from many different sources.
You are loved by your Father in Heaven.
You are loved by Jesus.
You are loved by me.
There is only the smallest portion of what is going through my brain at this moment.
Bear with me, friends.
I will write.

The Feels
Marshmellow and cotton candy clouds above, the crunching sound created by dry brown leaves beneath my feet.
Clarity and purpose have been a constant today and I have experienced every small thing the way it is.
A vertical line from the earth to the heavens.
Eyes open and life coursing to the beat of my heart.
Clarity and purpose have been a constant today and I have experienced every small thing the way it is. It's not the my personality has shifted, but more that I have come to a place of clarity, confidence, contentment, purpose and desire.
My feelings today mirror those of a night when a tender goodbye was spoken. They are feelings of remembrance. Little specks of Heaven put together. A knowledge of an inevitable return.
I am independent and a sacrifice was made for my independence.
My chest swells with the knowledge that everything is worth it and that we will be happy.
Boy, oh boy! Cheers, friends!

Your Commitment Graph
Ooh! Isn't that interesting? Everything I have been doing and thinking for the past week has been closely studied to look at my level of commitment. You know what else is interesting? I once thought it was more effective to have multiple projects going on at once. Why did I think that? So much more gets done when we don't have to waste brain power jumping from project to project.
I have been 100% focused on this blog post for the past four minutes. Now guess what! I will be one hundred percent focused on sleeping. Oh, sleep. It's wonderful. Nighty night!
Oh! Actually, one thing first. It's General conference next week!! Ahh!!

Two Possible Decisions
Just two decisions.
To pluck or let the fruit fall
Is yours to decide.
The apple in your hands may not be the prettiest or the most delicious apple you've ever held in your hands, it may even house a worm comfortably creating his crib inside, but that one fruit has several seeds at it's core just waiting to be planted in your future orchard.
Inside every "failure" are the seeds for an even greater success. Let this sink into your being. Let hope and faith find rest in your soul.
Let this be your knowledge, Dallin.

Core Beliefs
I think I wrote a little bit about this in my last post or a couple posts ago, but I would love to expound upon this for a heightened understanding in myself and for all those who read this.
What I am writing about is a core belief about self.
This core belief influences how you think about anything and everything. Why? Because you have a relationship with everything. You have a relationship with the chair you're sitting on. You have a relationship with your hair. You have a relationship with the clothes you wear.
Relationships, relationships, relationships.
Why could they possibly be so important? Well, they're pretty much the meaning of life. Ok, maybe not exactly, but everything you do affects your relationships.
The most important relationship you will ever have is with your Higher Power. The second most important relationship you have in your life is your relationship with you. That's right. You have a relationship with you. How is this possible, you say? Well, have you ever heard someone say that they love themselves? Maybe you've heard the opposite. Either way, this is proof that you have a relationship with yourself.
Now, what if you dislike yourself? Is it possible to truly love anyone or anything else if you can't come to terms with yourself? Now, I don't like writing about this kind of thing, but I believe the addressing of an issue is necessary for the resolving of said issue.
Record your negative thoughts, doubts, worries and inhibitions.
Find a journal, notebook or anything to write on and start. All of the above mentioned are there because there is a core belief that needs to be fixed.
There's so much more to say, but this is the beginning of the solution.
Love you all!
Ciao.

Be A Hero
I don't believe in anything unnatural. I just don't.
When I look at superheroes in the media, I think, "I wonder how many of these people realize that the reason they think that superhero is cool is because they see traits in the hero that they actually have in themselves."
Why would we ever think a hero was cool if he was nothing like us or at least what we could become?
Whether you like it or not, everything you like about other people is exactly what you are.
There are a lot of little people in your brain. I'm going to name another one. This one is Mr. R. Gument. He doesn't like you to be sure of anything. When he gets the chance to argue, he will always take it. He will be a challenge if you have recognized something good about yourself today. Find ways to use him to your advantage and help him be the optimist he used to be.
Good luck! Cheerio!

We Are The Storytellers
Inside every human mind is a storyteller. You know, the guy who fills in the blanks. The guy that looks at all of the facts (or as many as he has been trained to), and tells you what's going on from your perspective.
I like to call him Stotler. He's great and all, but what if he isn't always right? What if his intentions are in our best ineterest, but the stories aren't true? Does it really matter? If he's wrong, we are then being told a lie, no matter how well willed that lie is. It's generally some kind of justification.
You see, we believe what we choose to believe and often what we see is some kind of justification for the feelings we have at our core beliefs about ourselves.
Maybe we should all be paying attention to our negative feelings, eh? Just kidding. There's no such thing as maybe. ;)
One that used to come up for me was, "I am not deserving of the love this person has for me" and so my brain would come up with, "She's only being a good friend. She doesn't really care that deeply for you. See how she said that? That means she isn't really interested in you, it's just a 'curtesy flirt'." When, in fact, I knew she really did. It was evident through her state of being, her words, her expressions, her behavior, but my core belief about myself wouldn't have it, so it told me I didn't have enough to offer in what could have easily been the best relationship. ever. (At our age, with the necessary bounderies, taking into account as many of the aspects of future that I could, of course ;) Well, I wish I had cleared all of that up back then, but I hadn't and that is ok.
I have learned and I know that what I thought wouldn't work really would not have worked, even if it had progressed to a serious relationship. Now, however, I have much more of an advantage in shaping those relationships I want and keeping them there, so you all better be prepared for some serious lovin's.

Life Is A Song
Is it possible that we've all been given the same or a similar melody in the ensemble of life?
What I mean to say is, we all have our melody, but it is our decision to make it go wherever musically with whatever lyrics.
Fill your life with splendor and bliss. Not the chocolates, though. Then your life wouldn't be too long. ;)
Think about what words continually appear in your conversations and rewrite them if you aren't satisfied. Be your poet.

Nighttime Ninnies (Part deux)
What is love? Baby don't hurt me. Hahahahahahaha! Take that, memory lane! If you have heard this song, I have reignited the flame of earworm...ism. O_o
Memory number deux.
In the still of the noon, I held you so I wouldn't fall to my doom. Hah. Just kidding.
But seriously, I learned much about the importance of silent observance while in my tree, watching the effect the wind had on each branch or observing the soccer playing Hispanic teams practicing for hours on end. This was also my time to be by myself. It was the only time I was free of any communication to the visible world around me and my only time to feel grounded while feeling free like the wind. It was when I was most at ease with everything, in my neutral state.
Why then, if I did this many, many times, did this one time stay with me?
Let me explain.
One day, I decided to talk to my tree. I told him stories of my adventures in the forest, even though he witnessed most of them. I told him about my family and what we did as entertainers. I don't have the slightest idea why I decided to give speeches or tell tales to my tree, but as I continued to do this, I learned so much. I was being given as I was giving. My thoughts were sharp and quite astoundingly brilliant for me, but I didn't know that. I also felt Heavenly Father's love for me, burning/tingling in my entire being. I have no idea who I have told about my tree, but now you all know.
What is the point of this? Give to receive. I've found that the things brought to my mind are often the markers for the direction I need to move in.
Then here I go!
Cheerios, good chaps and laces.
Dallin "DJ Hugs" Hughes
Nighttime Ninnies.
Dearest reader,
I want to take you back to a couple very important times in my life. I want to take you past the memories of running through the forest to our little fortress made from a rock formation and logs we had hauled into place, past the silliest cat superhero role playing games you've ever heard of, past the lego starships, past the trails we made for mountain biking. Yeah, that's right. We're gonna swim in the 13ft side of the pool...without floaties. Are you ready to dive?
First, I want to tell you about one night I spent with my mother. When I was itty bitty, my mother had Thursday nights off. This was way back when my Padre and the rest of his litter were performing nights and none of the kids were involved in the night shows and when my mother worked in the dinner theatre. Well, every Thursday night, she took one kid out to spend time with just her, alone, away from the world and everyone else. This just happened to be my night. It was probably somewhere in September because I remember it was just starting to get cold and I needed my special green blanket with my name on it, but it wasn't my blanky 'cause I was to cool for that kinda bacon. So yes, we were outside. Back then, I had a very special interest in the stars. They amazed me like nothing else. I often saw things that I imagined no one else saw up there, slowly moving stars, ones that would blink off and on, ones that would lead me in the dark. My mom would hug me as we just lay there, in the grass, on my blanket, talking about anything and everything. I don't remember almost anything outside of me at all. What I remember was being hugged and talking to her as we fed my interests. That memory has influenced every little way I treat my siblings every day. I often think about whether or not I am promoting those feelings I felt that day when I had my night out with my mother. Now, I didn't only have one. I think we did this for about a year. I remember searching for ants on another one, but that's beside the point. This one stuck out because it was the purest memory I have alone, with my mom.
I'll finish this next memory in the still of tomorrow's night. Sleep wraps her tentacles around my mind as I type, pulling me deeper into the beautifully vibrant abyss below. Most abysses are so misunderstood.
Nighty.

Nighty.
